Loves Necklace

I fell for you the instant we met, chemistry was all around,
my Au plus my Ag, made silver and gold, from then on we both knew our jewel had finally been found,
It was beautiful at the beginning, like a freshly polished necklace,
everything was shining, flashy, screaming "I love you", but just like a necklace if not polished tarnishment becomes a face,
That necklace that once was his everyday prized possession, thank the Lord for this beautiful gift,
became something he wore on a occasion, just a reminder to everyone that ey! that gift still exists,
But what about the necklace, holding all the inner pain of negligence, lies, and broken promises,
saying you love it, but wearing it only sometimes, speaking out words of undignified stories... LIES!
Creates a scornful look, a look of "tarnishment" on the necklace, becoming ugly, cold, stiff, and bitter,
what was once Au now looks Ag, silver,
"Our jewel" becomes your jewel, that beautiful gift of gold, is no more,
until one day he decides to wear the necklace that he forgot unworn,
does a little polish, untangle it from the drawer,
But in his hands it BREAKS, that beautiful gift the Lord had sent will never again be found,
maybe if he had kept his Au from becoming Ag, tarnished, his gift would still be around!
